Health Surveillance

Introduction

Health surveillance allows for early identification of ill health and helps identify any corrective action needed. Health surveillance may be required by law if your employees are exposed to noise or vibration, solvents, fumes, dusts, biological agents and other substances hazardous to health, or work in compressed air.

IDC offer a comprehensive program of health surveillance on site from any location in the UK and we have specific expertise in the complex areas of noise and Respirable risks.  We have a large fleet of mobile assessment vehicles and as a single entity have delivered more health surveillance programs over a longer period of time than any other provider.  Many clients have more than 15 consecutive years of medical records for their entire work force carefully stored an accordance with the Data Protection Act.

Our service is robust and is entirely compatible with statutory requirements whilst, unlike many other occupational health services, develops contemporaneous records that are details in term of documenting risks to health that may have impacted on employees health but that are not as a result of work place exposure
