IDC Ltd provide a 'Lost Time Incident' (LTI's) service to clients to engage early with an employee who sustains an injury/accident, where this does not result in hospitalisation. The LTI’s work in that the employee is referred in to the service by the manager via a dedicated contact point and subsequent referral form. Contact by an OH Practitioner to the employee is then made within 24 hours of the injury/accident being sustained. The OH Practitioner will provide immediate advice on management of the injury and relevant referral points, e.g. A&E, GP.
This initiative has proven successful as it provides immediate advice on how to manage the injury and results in added value through a reduced level of absence and subsequent cost savings to the employer.
